The Biomed Club at Chinook High School in Lethbridge, Alberta. Come learn what it takes.
We are students at Chinook who plan to work in medicine, and we help each other get there.
Biomed Club is open to every grade and every level of experience. You don't need to know what you want to specialize in. You just need to be curious about how the body works and how doctors think.
We meet to practise real clinical skills, hear from people working in healthcare, and work out the path from a Lethbridge classroom to medical school.
Hands-on practice
Learn and rehearse skills like taking vitals and suturing, with people who explain the why.
Talks from people in the field
Doctors, nurses and students tell you what the job and the road to it are really like.
A plan for after high school
Prerequisites, applications, and what to do in Grade 10, 11 and 12 to get ready.
